Freedom Mills

Freedom Mills was a warehouse events venue on Washington Street in Leeds. It opened in 2015 in a former Victorian mill, converted for events with industrial arches and other Victorian features retained. The space held about 500 people. Its final night at the Washington Street site took place on 28 November 2025, with nearby redevelopment cited as a factor in the closure. Promoters used the intimate-sized venue for music and visual events.

The programme covered electronic club nights and live events, including techno, house, dub and roots reggae. Freedom Mills ran the Freedom Dub Club sound-system nights in 2024, alongside the weekly Sunday Club Cosmos series. Promoters using the venue included YESTEK, GrubHub Records and The Office, as well as Freedom Mills itself. Artists who played there included Deekline, Ebz, Anaïs and Licia. Sets by DJ Slimzee, Ludo and Plastician were also hosted there.
