Fucine Vulcano

Fucine Vulcano began in Milan in October 2013, established by organizers interested in sustainable mobility and design innovation. Earlier activities took place at Viale Molise 62 and Cascina Nosedo, where LABBICI opened in summer 2016 as a space for creative projects, reuse and bicycle mechanics. After leaving Viale Molise in September 2017, the association focused its work at LABBICI until its concession expired the next year.

From April 2019, Fucine Vulcano has managed and renovated in stages an industrial site at Via Fabio Massimo, 15/12, near Porto di Mare. Studio Vulcano opened in a disused section that year, with a 120-square-metre flexible space for productions, exhibitions, photography and projections. Music events share the venue with arts, theatre, workshops and cycling activities; the programme has included techno, dub techno and psytrance. Fucine Vulcano and This is Dnb have promoted events there, with artists including Mr. James, DNN, Waldo and Was A Be. The venue holds about 350 people and has a full NEXO audio system.
