Fundbureau

Fundbureau is a club and live-music venue at Altländer Straße 11 in Hamburg, near the Deichtorhallen. It opened in 1997 beneath the Sternbrücke, in a former Deutsche Bahn lost-and-found office, as an independent art space. The original premises had two long rooms. In 2024, the club left the site ahead of the bridge’s planned redevelopment and moved into a former railway vault in the Deichtorkasematten. Its name adapts the German word “Fundbüro” using French-style spelling.

The current venue has two event spaces, a standing capacity of 350 and a Funktion-One sound system. Its programme ranges across electronic music, jazz, punk and hip-hop, with concerts and DJ sets; Liquid Concrete and Fundbureau-2 have run events there. Artists who have played include IAM, Eightball, Enni Milosj and Fibe. Fundbureau reopened at its new address on August 2, 2024. It presents around 120 concerts and artistic DJ sets each year, with electronic dance music featuring predominantly.
