Garage 442

Garage 442 is a bar-club at Avinguda Diagonal, 442, in Casa Comalat, near the boundary between Eixample and Gràcia in Barcelona. It opened in 2016 in premises that previously housed El Garaje Hermético, a rock-pop bar operating from 1984. Live performances and DJ sessions form part of its programme, which includes electronic music ranging from house and techno to drum and bass and dark disco.

Its bookings prioritize local musical projects while also featuring performers from Spain and other countries. SUBconscious BCN, Big Kharma and DnBabes have staged events there. Phil Hartnoll of Orbital and The Hacker have performed at the club, along with MC Stormy and Jon-roy. Arcade Fire and Jarvis Cocker have made impromptu appearances behind its DJ booth.
