Hotel Europa is a club at Südstraße 54 in Cologne, with a ground-floor lounge and a basement club. Owner Udo Mays opened it in 2010, and the venue marked its third anniversary in autumn 2013. The lounge has décor inspired by the 1960s and 1970s, a cocktail bar, about 40 seats and room for roughly 80 people. The basement has a dance floor, a sound system and a compact stage for DJs and bands, with capacity for around 100. Overall capacity is about 200.
Its music spans electronic music, techno, soul and funk, alongside indie, minimal and jazz; the basement also hosts performances, concerts and live music. Sound Schwestern, a FLINTA collective founded at Hotel Europa, runs a party format with women DJs and FLINTA performers. Cozy Events has also promoted events there. Enaly is among the artists who have played at the club.
