Islington Arts Club

Islington Arts Club is a late-night dance bar at 235 Upper Street, London N1 1RU, in premises formerly used as a Whitbread pub. Before taking its current name, the venue operated as The Library, The Cedar Room, Lush Bar, Independence and Tut n’ Shive. It reopened as Islington Arts Club in December 2023, and a return event on 7 June 2024 marked the reopening, with local artists playing house and tech house.

The venue has capacity for about 150 people and a pink dance floor. Its programme includes resident DJs, nights presented by artists from around the world, live music and open-mic events, with dance music ranging from house and garage to breaks and drum and bass. Promoters at the club have included Get Hook'd, MiZAR, Proelium Audio and Absolute Deck Shellings. Artists who have played there include Sharpson, Fowda, Vektah and Dove.
