JUNA

JUNA began operating in Anjuna in early January 2024, at 1108/1, Kutchem Bhat, Anjuna, Goa 403509, India. Hideaway Café & Bar and Arcade cofounded the venue; Arcade is a creative agency connected with Magnetic Fields Festival founders Munbir Chawla and Kunal Lodhia, and collaborator Dame Rynjah. The renovated Goan-Portuguese bungalow sits among paddy fields, banyan trees and palms. Its courtyard features a terracotta-roofed verandah, teakwood bar and quieter seating beneath the trees, with a high-fidelity sound system at its centre. JUNA also serves small plates, bar bites and signature cocktails as a restaurant and cocktail bar.

A sound-treated room inside the bungalow accommodates 100 people and hosts listening sessions and late-night parties. Reign Acoustics, based in Delhi, built custom sound systems for the courtyard and indoor room, which also contains a rotary mixer. JUNA, Drum and Bass India and Krunk have promoted events there. Artists performing during the venue’s opening month included Chloé Robinson, Kareem Ali, Ayesha and Zokhuma.
