Kácečko

Kácečko began operating in 2023 on the fourth floor of the former Prior department store, at Kamenné námestie 1/A in Bratislava; the entrance is at the rear. Its predecessor, KC Dunaj, opened in Bratislava in 2011 as a cultural and entertainment venue. After 12 years in the OD Dunaj building, it moved because the original premises were due for reconstruction, taking the name Kácečko at its new location. Ivan Pätoprstý is the venue’s owner, and its community has grown from the KC Dunaj era.

The space includes a large hall with capacity for up to 600 people and a smaller one for up to 200. Its terrace covers about 1,000 square metres, while the rooftop terrace can accommodate more than 300 people. The arrangement of halls, bar and terrace makes it possible for two events to run simultaneously without interfering with each other.

Daytime presentations form part of the programme, while evenings bring live music and themed parties. The venue also hosts concerts, talks, theatre, jam sessions, lectures and other cultural and educational events. Promoters who have run events there include Mäsokombinát and [fjúžn]. Performers have included LIIA, Blame Your Genes and SICARIA, and the local DJs Beyuz and Vec are among the names linked to the venue.
