Klub K4 is a nightclub in the basement at Kersnikova 4 in central Ljubljana, Slovenia. The space operated as an alternative venue from the mid-1980s, initially under ŠKUC, before Klub K4 was formally established in 1989 beneath the former K6/4 Institute. Its programme included early techno parties and rap freestyle battles, among them a national competition.
A 2001 season called Restart redirected the club towards electronic music, with techno, drum and bass, psytrance, IDM and experimental electronica among its styles. The wider programme has also included hip-hop, dub and live performances. The venue has a main room and a smaller room, both fitted with Martin Audio loudspeakers. K4 Roza is a recurring monthly event for the LGBT community, while K::RAP nights focus on hip-hop.
The Student Organisation in Ljubljana closed the club in March 2013; it later reopened with a reshaped programme and collaboration with club crews. Zavod Štirka operated the venue from 2014 until May 2015, and Zmešaj si took over in September that year. Promoters at Klub K4 have included Žan Balen. Past performers include Goldie, Derrick May, Henry Rollins, Asian Dub Foundation and Dr Meaker.
