Koara

Koara is a basement DJ bar and club in Jinnan, Shibuya, Tokyo, at 1-13-15 Jinnan. It opened in 2007 beneath Koritsu Build, with a DJ booth and capacity for about 100 people. Its music ranges across house, disco, experimental electronic music and bass, with recurring nights including One, Koara Session, Test Press Tuesday, Vinylizm and HouseTech Monday. One is led by Toshi Maeda; Vinylizm has resident ARATA. Artists who have played there include eurlica, NOONI NOBU, Dihi and Koki. Koara marked its 18th anniversary in October 2025; its 10th anniversary party in 2017 featured Matt Edwards, also known as Radio Slave.
