Kulturverein Einbaumöbel - 1bm

Kulturverein Einbaumöbel - 1bm operates at Gürtelbogen 97 in Alsergrund, Vienna, as a collectively run cultural venue. The association was founded in 2005 to support culturally creative spaces. Since then, it has hosted artistic and cultural experiments outside commercial programming. Its activities include concerts, workshops, jam sessions, readings and club nights, as well as dance events.

The venue has a single room with a stage about 15 centimetres high. Its club programme has featured drum and bass, jungle, techno and experimental music. BIG Z and FUELIZED have promoted events there, and Databass has performed at the venue. The monthly Einbaumöbel-Volxlesung began in 2005, followed by the 1bm Freestylesession in 2007. Readings and freestyle sessions are among the recurring formats in its programme.
