Lakota is a nightclub at 6 Upper York Street in Stokes Croft, Bristol, near the city centre. It opened in 1992 inside the former Stokes Croft Brewery, occupying a bottle works on the brewery site. The club marked its 30th anniversary in June 2022.
The warehouse-style venue spans three levels, with four dance floors and a balcony bar looking over the main room. The site also includes an outdoor smoking garden. Music programming ranges across drum and bass, dubstep, hardcore and techno, alongside disco, house and rap. Events have been run by Lakota, Rumble In The Jungle, Dazed-Muzic and Cirque Du Soul. Its main nightclub is known as “The OG”, and the site has three separate event spaces. Lakota is Black-owned, and its programming features emerging local artists and performers.
Artists to play there include Goldie, Carl Cox, Sasha and John Digweed, as well as Sub Zero. In July 2025, Lakota announced Moon Club, a separate venue in St Paul’s. In April 2020, Bristol City Council’s Development Control Committee approved plans for a mixed-use redevelopment of the site, including offices and 54 homes.
