Lepakkomies

Lepakkomies is a music venue on Helsinginkatu 1 in Helsinki’s Alppiharju district. It opened in 2005 as a rock, metal and punk venue. In 2019, ownership passed to On the Rocks, Helsinki Oy, and water damage led to a temporary closure for renovations. Anssi Tähtinen became programme manager that year. Plans after the change included reopening the downstairs area and upgrading the sound system, alongside live shows four nights a week, mainly focused on punk, heavy music and indie.

The venue has a street-level bar, billiards upstairs and a live-music room downstairs, with capacity for about 180. Its PA uses L-Acoustics ARCS Wide speakers and two SB118 subwoofers. The programme includes punk, metal and indie rock, alongside DJ clubs on Fridays and Saturdays. Descend is among the promoters to have run events there.
