Lion Arts Factory

Lion Arts Factory is a venue for live music and the arts at 68 North Terrace in Adelaide’s west end, on Kaurna land. Its heritage-listed building once housed Fowler’s Lion Factory, which became the Lion Arts Centre in 1992, and the venue opened in February 2019 in the space previously run as Fowler’s Live.

The main room has a 13-metre stage and holds 500 to 550 standing patrons or 200 seated guests, while a front bar and mezzanine space take up to 400 people. Other facilities include a beer garden, an adjoining courtyard and downstairs rooms used by touring bands, with PA and lighting for both stages, DJ equipment and an LED screen. Its sound system is a smaller version of the one at Thebarton Theatre, and its programme spans hardcore and punk, mainstream acts and DJs.
