Lost Horizon

Lost Horizon is an independent arts centre and bar on Elton Street in St Jude’s, Bristol. It opened on 1 July 2021 as a summer pop-up, launched by the crew behind Shangri-La at Glastonbury, and became a year-round venue that October. The indoor space has a capacity of 350 and a Danley sound system. Its programme spans live music, art, performance and club nights, with dub among the sounds featured. A digital twin recreates performances in virtual reality as they happen.

Lost Horizon HQ, Intrigue, SLIPPIN’ dnb and Invicta Audio have all run events there. Artists on the bill have included Nathan Worm, Hollie-May, Makoto and Keeno. In 2022, the venue announced the Courtyard, an outdoor area with room for 225 people, for music from emerging Bristol labels. Its programme has included label events and day parties spanning house, garage and bass.
