MÄX

MÄX is a nightclub and concert venue at Hardstrasse 219 in Zürich-West, near Hardbrücke station and the Prime Tower. It opened in 2019 in a factory building where cogwheels were once hardened. The industrial-style venue accommodates about 1,000 people, with a gallery above the dance floor and DJ booth, a large bar, and modern sound and lighting systems. The club marked its fourth anniversary in 2023.

Its programme includes club nights and concerts in varied styles, from 2000s pop heard on Bravo Hits compilations to drum and bass. Technoabteil and Subset are recurring event brands, and Subset, MÄX Zürich and Liquicity have promoted events there. Liquicity Zurich, a drum-and-bass event series, held an event at MÄX in November 2023. Past performers include Sub Focus, Hurts, Placebo and Samy Deluxe; the venue also hosts DJs and live artists from Switzerland and abroad.
