Mezz

Mezz is a live-music and dance venue at Keizerstraat 101 in Breda, Netherlands. Plans for the project date to 1993, and the venue opened in September 2002 with part of the former officers’ mess of the Chassé barracks incorporated into its building. Designed for pop music, the venue has a Grote Zaal, Kleine Zaal and Popcafé. The Grote Zaal accommodates up to 600 standing guests or 200 seated, while the Kleine Zaal holds 150 standing or 60 seated. The Popcafé has capacity for 100 standing or 60 seated; the smaller hall has its own stage and fixed bar.

Mezz hosts live music and runs Klub, Tribe and Hypno as nightlife concepts. Klub features international house and techno artists in the Grote Zaal, Hypno presents emerging techno talent in the Kleine Zaal, and Tribe stages drum-and-bass events. Buunshin, IMANU, Rohaan and Ed Rush have performed at Mezz. In 2026, work began to transform the Kleine Zaal into Mezz Club, with changes to its layout, sound insulation and technical installation.
