Mia Mao

Mia Mao opened in January 2025 at 12a rue Ella Fitzgerald, in Paris’s 19th arrondissement. The venue occupies a 3,000-square-metre former leather-storage hall built in the 1960s, near the former La Villette slaughterhouses. The project began before the COVID-19 pandemic, which delayed completion. On January 17, 2025, Laurent Garnier marked the opening with a four-hour set.

The club’s programme centres on electronic music, bringing international performers together with artists from the French music scene. Its industrial hall has a seven-metre ceiling, a large main room, a mezzanine and an outdoor area, with space for nearly 2,300 people. Solution 63 Hz created the acoustic system, while Minuit Une designed the lighting. Dnb Allstars, OHLALA Productions and Basses Fréquences have held events at the venue, where performers have included Bou and Grafix. Mia Mao prohibits photography and video recording. Its Paris-based electronic label, Mia Mao Records, launched in 2024; the venue also streams DJ sets and interviews and runs a radio service broadcasting around the clock.
