Misfits

Misfits operated as a bar, live music venue and exhibition space at 30 Chambers Street in Footscray, Melbourne. Jacob Bell, Amber Hahipene and Jerry Poon founded it, and it opened on 15 March 2024 in the former Baby Snakes space. Its programme brought local and international artists together with workshops, panel discussions, artist talks and live recordings. A raised stage and DJ booth stood inside, while the outdoor courtyard had a mural by Melbourne artist Drez. By 2024, the founders had spent 20 years working in Melbourne hospitality.

Jerry Poon served as music director. Misfits, The Operatives, Hyperfix and Twisted Audio ran events at the venue. Bookings included Doc Scott, Plastician, Zero T and Mollie Collins. In July 2026, Misfits announced its planned closure, with operating costs and safety issues in the surrounding area cited among the challenges.
