Moyletts

Moyletts is an Irish family-run pub at 181 Clarence Road in Lower Clapton, London, with its music events held in the basement. First-time publican Rupert Moylett established the pub shortly before Christmas 2025 and gave it his family’s name. The Victorian building had earlier been occupied by The Cricketers and Wing and a Prayer.

Basement activities include music, supper clubs and creative projects, with reggae, funk and soul among the sounds featured. Jamie Rodigan has played reggae sound-system sessions there, and the pub runs a monthly chess club. Gareth Chambers, formerly a chef at Kiln, brought his Irish Shpice pop-up to Moyletts, serving Irish-Chinese-style spice bags. Trust Me has promoted events at the venue, where J:Kenzo and Vicious Circle have played. The basement has room for about 120 people.
