MTW

MTW is a club at Nordring 131 in Offenbach am Main, near Frankfurt. It opened in 1991 in a former boat hall on the Main and occupies the same building as Robert Johnson. The venue has high ceilings, a concrete floor and capacity for about 350 people. Its sound system includes Martin Audio speakers and DJ equipment such as CDJ-3000 players, DJM mixers and Technics 1210 MK2 turntables, supplied by Turecki Tontechnik.

House and techno are the mainstays of MTW’s music policy, alongside concerts and nights run by promoters including Hooked Sounds, Jungle Cakes and Brave Events. Long-running party series include MTW-Rocks, under various names since 1992, Party out of Bounds, which began in 1993, and La Boum, which started in 1998. Artists to have played there include Deekline, Kivi, Serial Killaz and Polytoxic. The club also hosts about 120 popular-music concerts annually.
