Nectar Lounge

Nectar Lounge is a music venue and bar established by Jed Smithson in 2004 in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood, at 412 N. 36th Street. Live performances take place as often as six nights a week, spanning reggae, hip-hop, electronic music and folk. The venue presents local, regional, national and international performers, including local and emerging acts associated with Seattle’s jam-rock scene. SolidSound Presents has run events there.

The venue holds about 400 people and has a main-floor showroom, an upstairs mezzanine and a covered patio with a view of the stage. Eight VIP booths are located on the mezzanine. Its equipment includes a 32-channel, tri-amped, three-way house sound system and a monitor system with 32 channels and six mixes; both systems are powered by 20,000 watts. The showroom also has professional sound, lighting and lasers. Past bookings have brought electronic acts such as The Crystal Method, Alix Perez and Machinedrum to the venue, alongside Macklemore.
