Nowadays

Nowadays occupies a Ridgewood, Queens, site in New York City. DJs Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin began their Mister Saturday Night parties in 2009, then established the open-air venue in 2015 with financial backing from an investment group of 30 people. The club grew from Mister Saturday Night and Mister Sunday, parties held in backyards and makeshift spaces, into a permanent venue. In January 2018, a converted warehouse became Indoors, a 5,000-square-foot indoor space.

Indoors has standing room for 269 people. Its audio setup combines a custom hi-fi system for dancing with a separate home hi-fi system for background music, as well as tube amplifiers and vintage Altec Lansing Voice of the Theater speakers. The club’s music spans techno, house and dubstep. Residents include RHR, Powder and Kia; Goldie, LSB and dBridge have also played there. In 2024, Nowadays announced a lease extension for its Ridgewood location.
