Numm · Tokyo, Japan
22:30 – 05:30

Numm began operating on 1 August 2024 in the former Aoyama ZERO premises, after ZERO closed in June. Itsuki Suzuki took over the site following the closure announcement, alongside Yuki Terada, who had managed Aoyama ZERO. The venue is located at B1F AiiA ANEX bld, 2-9-13 Shibuya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, and accommodates about 100 people. Wood on the walls and a prominent speaker arrangement are among the features carried over from the previous space. Numm uses the phrase “Back to Basic” for a sound concept pairing analog warmth with club music, and it inherited Aoyama ZERO’s sound system.
During the day, Numm operates as an art gallery and café, showing installations, sculptures and other artworks. Its music spans house, techno and ambient, with live jazz sets and poetry readings also on the programme. REWIND_TOSHI is among the promoters to have run events at the venue. Recurring nights include Prisma, featuring Dazzle Drums and MINAMI, and CounterPoint, which centres on house music. Artists who have performed there include Makoto, Aya (Human Elements), Velocity and Fonts.
