Óbuda Bay is on Óbudai-sziget in Budapest’s District III, near Árpád Bridge, and leases the island’s southern section. When it opened in November 2024, Óbuda Bay was billed as Hungary’s first venue dedicated to daytime events. The glass-walled building measures 1,250 square metres, has eight-metre ceilings and overlooks the Danube.
Its 1,500-square-metre event area includes a covered, weatherproof dance floor with closable side walls. Facilities include an L-Acoustics sound system, a 120-square-metre LED wall, more than 150 lighting units and a VIP area. There is parking for 250 cars and provision for boats to moor directly. The recommended event capacity is 300 to 1,500 people.
The grand opening took place on 27 September 2025, with house music presented by Cinematiné and House Piknik. Bladerunnaz has promoted events at Óbuda Bay, where artists including Chris.SU, Andy C, Culture Shock and Grafix have performed. In August 2026, Óbuda’s mayor said that the venue was the only one on the island to substantially restrict its activity at the municipality’s request.
