Old Towne Pub is a live-music venue at 23 E. Holly Street in Pasadena. Its building once housed horse stables for the Pasadena Fire Department in the late 19th century, and the pub opened in 1973. The bar previously operated as the Lochness Monster and had four owners before taking its current name. Art Jong bought it in 1990 and shaped it into a venue for local rock bands; Snotty Scotty and the Hankies performed its first show that year.
A stage accommodates rotating bands and DJs across genres, including classic rock, hard rock, reggae and punk. Indoor space held fewer than 100 people in 2002, with further room on a patio; that year, rockabilly band Ramblin’ James and the Billy Boppers had a Wednesday residency. The venue has a capacity of about 200, and Vibration Centre has promoted events there. JaeS and Dev/Null are among the artists who have played at the pub.
