Ormside Projects

Ormside Projects is an arts and music venue at the Penarth Centre on Ormside Street in South Bermondsey, London. Artist Michael Levitt established the multidisciplinary space in 2015 by converting a former church hall. The venue occupies units 32A, 32B and 32C on the first floor, with capacity for 200 people.

Its programme ranges from industrial and dubwise techno, jungle and electro to live performances, film screenings, installations, workshops, and film and photography production. Events use the Ormside sound system, sometimes alongside Formant Soundsystem; promoters include Ormside Projects, Influences, shell.tech and Blank Mind. Artists performing there include Angel Rocket, LSMarley, Two Shell and Lemon D. The venue began an artist residency programme in 2023 with Arts Council England support; its 2024 residents included LABOUR and Nkisi. In July 2022, Southwark Council granted PC32 Limited a premises licence requiring a sound-limiting device for live or recorded music.
