Oxford Art Factory · Sydney, Australia
23:00 – 06:00

Opened in 2007, Oxford Art Factory occupies the ground and basement levels of a heritage building at 38–46 Oxford Street in Darlinghurst, Sydney, beside Oxford Square. Founder Mark Gerber created the independent venue for live music, visual art and performance, drawing inspiration from Andy Warhol’s Factory in New York. Its programme includes concerts, DJ events, exhibitions and other events, with visual and performance art among its activities.
The venue’s Main Room and Gallery Bar can operate independently or as one space. The Main Room holds 500 people and has line-array speakers, subwoofers, delay speakers and a separate DJ sound system; the Gallery Bar holds 120. Artists including The Rubens have used the bar for early performances and release launches. Sounds Like Aus and Banana Bombs have promoted events there, while performers have included Ray Keith, Andromedik and Royalston. Lady Gaga played her first Australian show at Oxford Art Factory in 2008.
