Prater Dome is a nightclub at Riesenradplatz 7 in Leopoldstadt, Vienna. It began operating in the Prater on 22 October 2008, occupying about 3,500 square metres and planned with five levels and four dance floors. Its intended capacity was around 5,000 guests. Music Park Concepts led the seven-million-euro opening project, with Thomas Züchner named as manager.
The club has three floors, six areas and three dance floors, and holds about 2,500 guests. On the main floor, two dance spaces can become one when roller shutters are raised. The original layout also used movable walls to connect its two main floors. A JBL sound system served the Main Club, and the sound system was adjusted during renovation.
Music at Prater Dome spans EDM, techno, house, drum and bass, hip-hop, R&B and party classics. The Main Floor includes electronic styles, while the Second Floor features hip-hop, urban classics and R&B; the Classics Floor plays classic hits. Acts that have performed there include Dimension, Camo & Krooked, Robin Schulz and Deborah De Luca. Visual and lighting technology, CO₂ effects and confetti are also used at the club.
Prater Dome reopened in 2012 following a three-month renovation, which added lasers and new technology alongside sound-system changes.
