PROGRESS

PROGRESS is an outdoor, covered club at Progress Centre on Charlton Pl in Ardwick, Manchester. The site near Ardwick Green began in 2021 as an outdoor day-party venue. It occupies the grounds of a former Victorian cotton mill and developed from a passage between two warehouses. The original project was created by the teams behind The Loft, Animal Crossing and Summer of Love festival.

Made permanent as an outdoor club in 2024, PROGRESS expanded in 2025 with two spaces, Square One and Cakebread Street. It has three stages, a stated capacity of 5,000 and a Funktion-One sound system. Its programme spans house, techno, drum and bass and garage, with events run by PROGRESS, SubCulture Sound and Hit & Run. Artists who have played there include SHY FX, Sasha, Job Jobse and Peach. Parties held from April to September in 2023 drew more than 22,000 people.
