PRST

Located at Praterstraße 18 in Vienna’s second district, PRST operates as a bar and club in a former television station. Its dance floor occupies the station’s recording studio. Heinz Tronigger and Hennes Weiss developed the venue as a hybrid bar, drawing on backgrounds in clubbing, music and gastronomy. The venue celebrated its fourth anniversary with an event on 8–9 March 2024.

A long bar and lounge areas accompany a small dance floor, with décor recalling the 1970s. A sound lock separates the main floor from the lounge and bar. The venue holds about 300 people, while its main-floor system is designed for a maximum of 250, using four Lambda Labs QX-3 speakers, four QX-3B speakers and eight DH-18 subwoofers. Tablet controls at the dance floor, bar, lounge and VIP area allow adjustments for different genres and audio inputs. Its programme centres on electronic music, especially techno; event promoters have included Crossover and BLCKSHIFT. Artists who have performed there include COBRA, Paul Mile, BOYOHBOY and CHERCHES.
