Rolling Stock

Rolling Stock occupies railway arches at 48 Kingsland Road in Shoreditch, London, beneath the East London line. The site first operated in the early 1980s as The Weigh Inn, a family-run licensed place for music and dancing, and later served London musicians as a rehearsal and recording space before Rolling Stock opened there as a late-night bar and club in the 2010s.

The venue has a main arch with 14-foot ceilings for 250 standing, a covered heated garden for 300, and an underground club room called The Bunker for 100, with an overall capacity of about 400. Both indoor rooms have club sound systems, including Martin Audio.

Programming spans house, disco and electronic DJ sets alongside live music. Thursday Social is a weekly vinyl night for new DJs, Jazztrain Sundays brings a different live jazz band each week, and Deep Into Disco is a regular late night under the arches. Promoters have included Refracted Events, Raiser and Friends and Dance Days Record Co., with artists such as Raiser, A-Rex and Montana.
