Roxy

Roxy is located at Dlouhá 33 in Prague, Czech Republic, in a building used for cultural purposes since 1928. The premises began as an Art Deco cinema in the 1920s and later housed film studios. The Linhart Foundation revived the derelict building, and the club opened there in 1992; the foundation runs the venue. Its main hall, lounge and balcony have standing capacities of 750, 100 and 150, respectively, with an overall capacity of about 1,000. ROOM8 is another space within the venue.

In the 1990s, Roxy hosted alternative dance parties and contributed to the Czech underground scene. Following noise complaints, Prague authorities ordered music to stop after 10 p.m. in 2005, and the Linhart Foundation said the premises would continue as an alternative arts centre. NoD also operates in the building, with a theatre, gallery and café. Early-2000s performers included The Shamen and Asian Dub Foundation.

The club’s programme spans house, techno and drum and bass, with Hospital and RAM among the labels present there. Liquicity is among the promoters that have run events at Roxy. Artists who have played at the venue include Andy C, Wilkinson, Hybrid Minds and Fox Stevenson. In 2025, Roxy upgraded its sound system to d&b Soundscape, which has more than 40 speakers.
