Sala Apolo is a dance hall and nightclub on Carrer Nou de la Rambla in Barcelona, on Avinguda del Paral·lel. Its history began in 1935, when Josep Vallés Rovira opened an indoor amusement park on the avenue. The venue became a dance hall in June 1943, then housed a ballroom, bingo hall and roller-skating club. After its amusement-park attractions were removed and the building remodelled, it reopened as a concert hall and nightclub in 1991.
The venue comprises the main Sala Apolo, La (2), La (3) and the indoor bar CINC. La (3) has an outdoor area used for acoustic events. Its technical equipment includes Stage Accompany acoustic enclosures and MIDAS PRO consoles. Its programme ranges across jungle, drum and bass, house and techno, alongside rock, reggae, disco, funk and other styles. Nitsa Club held nights there in the 1990s; other named club events include Honey Bunny, Milkshake and Churros con Chocolate. Promoters running events at the venue include Oxido, Ladradora and DnBabes.
Artists who have played Sala Apolo include Bushbaby, CAPITANA, Saint Ludo and PEAK. The venue hosted the Sónar Festival and was the starting point for Primavera Sound. In 2018, it marked 75 years since opening as a dance hall.
