Schirrmo's Bar

Schirrmo’s Bar is a basement venue at 4/11–23 Rawson Place in Haymarket, Sydney, next to Sydney Central YHA. YHA Australia opened it in early September 2022 in the former Scubar space, which had stood empty since 2020. The name honours Richard Schirrmann, a pioneer of the hostelling movement. It holds around 200 people standing or 50 seated.

The programme mixes DJ nights with acoustic sets, language exchanges, trivia and themed nights built around Brazilian and Bollywood culture. Drum and bass and jungle have also found a home there: a March 2026 night was billed with a large sound system, and Thierry D, Jopea and Kevin C are among the DJs who have played.
