Sihl Records

Sihl Records is a record shop with an integrated lounge at Kalkbreitestrasse 33 in District 3, Zurich. Founded by Zurich DJ Andreas Müller, who performs as Andreas Ramos, it opened in 2017 at Martastrasse 114 and moved to its current address in 2022. The shop brings together records and a bar, with stock sourced internationally and second-hand selections from local collectors. It also serves as a meeting place for musicians, artists and music lovers.

The space has capacity for about 30 people. Its in-store DJ sessions let guests play records on the main sound system, with some sessions also streamed by video. The programme has included local DJs, label makers and artists, and the Sihl x Plazma sessions, curated and hosted by Oscar Zillini, pair DJ sets with artist talks and interviews. These monthly sessions focus on minimal and techno.

Andreas Ramos also founded the Sihl Records label, whose first release came out in early 2019. Its White series draws on house, while the Black series centres on Swiss techno. Subset is among the promoters that have run events at the shop. In September 2024, Sihl Records returned to club Zukunft for an S.R.B. Night with local DJs and artists.
