SLAP 拍 operated on the second floor of Spark City at 25 Tong Mi Road in Mong Kok, Hong Kong. The venue began welcoming visitors on December 28, 2024, under co-founders Paul Henderson and Tracy Pang. Henderson said their idea drew on clubbing and rave experiences in Hong Kong and overseas. Self-funded, with no outside investors, SLAP 拍 brought together a café, an exhibition area and a nightclub. It stood between Mong Kok and Tai Kok Tsui and accommodated 150 people across its rooms. The venue connected electronic dance music with other arts in Hong Kong.
The club occupied two rooms, with high ceilings and a Funktion-One sound system. Its music programme gave local artists space and included techno, bass and Canton disco. The venue also made room for sonic and visual experimentation. Promoters included SLAP 拍, and artists who performed there included ILLI (HK), Murcor, Immuno and JFÜNG. MZee was a resident and played at the launch. Smoking and photography were prohibited on the dancefloor.
In October 2025, SLAP 拍 announced that it would close, citing building-maintenance and operational problems alongside financial pressure. The announcement also cited flooding in August 2025, while operating a café in the same space had presented difficulties. The club held its final party on October 25, 2025.
