Sneaky Pete's

Sneaky Pete's is a one-room club at 73 Cowgate in central Edinburgh. The Cowgate site has hosted clubs under different names since the 1970s, including Red Vodka Club. Owner and founder Nick Stewart developed the former bar into a live music venue and club, and the Sneaky Pete's name returned around 2009.

The room holds about 120 people. Its equipment includes a D&B Audiotechnik PA with C6 tops and C7 subwoofers, a Midas Venice F 24 front-of-house desk, two Technics 1210 turntables and two Pioneer CDJ2000 players. Programming spans live shows and club nights, with early-evening performances alongside guest DJs during the week and at weekends. Heaters had a Wednesday residency, while Miss World and Wasabi Disco were among the other regular nights. Promoters running events there have included Midnight Bass, Sneaks Events, Free Time Days and Sunday Service Edinburgh. Artists who have played include SOLECTA, imo-Lu, SHAWK and miira. Sneaky Pete's won the Grassroots Music Venue of the Year award in 2019.
