Sobar

Sobar is a club and bar at 102 Bevois Valley Road in Southampton, in premises that were previously The Albion and The Study. A local family who had earlier run Chambers in the city centre bought it around 2009, and it caters mainly to students, sponsoring student societies. After an explosion in August 2014 it was refurbished and reopened.

The venue holds about 500, with a separate indoor club room and a large beer garden whose outdoor stage runs on Funktion-One. Concrete Music has promoted drum and bass and jungle nights there, with Aries, Fatman D, A Little Sound and Serum among the DJs.
