Soundcheck

Soundcheck was a nightclub beneath downtown Washington, D.C., opening in 2015 at K St. NW under the ownership of Echostage’s operators, including Club Glow managing partner Antonis Karagounis. Conceived for dance music and artist development, the 4,400-square-foot venue had room for about 500 people, with two bars, a dance floor and 14 tables. Cork underfoot and soundproofed walls formed part of its construction.

LED screens accompanied a German-imported d&b audiotechnik Y-Series system built to emulate a recording studio. DJs played house, techno, dubstep and drum and bass, among other genres. Weekly nights included Bass Nation on Wednesdays, Glow Thursdays and Afterglow techno events on Sundays; Club Glow, Bassrush and Steez Promo also promoted events there. Performers included Camo & Krooked, Mefjus, Spor and Friction. The club closed in January 2026 after a decade, with its final parties presented as the Last Call Closing Series.
