Spirit

Spirit is a music venue, event space, restaurant and rooftop garden bar at 242 51st Street in Lawrenceville, Pittsburgh. It fills a three-level, 15,000-square-foot building put up as a social club during the Second World War, later a Moose Lodge, and opened in 2015. Tom Barr and Leigh Yock are its co-owners.

The building has two rooms. Spirit Hall holds 450 standing, 300 seated in rows or 200 for dinner, with a ballroom, stage, dance floor and full sound system, while the Spirit Lodge takes 195 standing or 85 seated and has its own stage, bar, kitchen and sound system. Spirit upgraded its sound and lighting in 2021 for bigger acts. Its long-running dance party Slappers N Bangers started there in 2015, and Cutups, Dwarde and Drucifer are among the artists who have played.
