Spkrbox

Spkrbox is a bar and nightclub at 200 Grand River Ave, at the Griswold and Grand River junction in downtown Detroit. Set inside a mid-century-modern building that was about 60 years old in 2022, it reopened on 10 June that year after the former Urban Bean Co. was converted into a coffee and cocktail bar. The venue also serves food.

Its layout includes an upstairs DJ area with a refurbished mezzanine booth, a basement club and a speakeasy-style room; capacity is about 250. An upgraded sound system serves upstairs and downstairs. Resident and visiting DJs play Detroit techno, electronica, funk and hip-hop, including live vinyl sets. Spkrbox Presents and Snack Time Detroit have run events there. Artists who have played include Beatnok, Ronin Selecta, Seanni B and DJ Psycho. BerettaMusic & Friends held a monthly residency, marking its second anniversary at the venue in July 2026.
