Stromwerk Dresden

Stromwerk Dresden opened in December 2010 inside the former Bahnstromwerk complex at Kraftwerk Mitte in Dresden. First known as Kraftwerk Mitte Club, it adopted the name Stromwerk in 2021. A refurbishment lasting two years preceded its reopening with a wider cultural programme, including theatre, concerts and comedy. The work updated the entrance, basement and courtyard, added a passenger elevator and cost about €2 million.

Located at Kraftwerk Mitte 28, the venue has a main hall and side gallery covering 750 square metres, a 170-square-metre foyer and a first-floor Maschinenraum of the same size. Its capacity is 1,400 standing guests or 656 seated. The programme spans club parties, concerts, stage shows, sports events, corporate functions and readings. Events promoted by Julevents.UG and Goodies have featured ESKEI83, while Enaly, Gourski and K Motionz have also performed there. Event facilities include multimedia, lighting, sound and 3-D video technology.
