Studio the Venue is a live entertainment venue at 340 Karangahape Road in Auckland’s K’Road district. The building opened in 1914 and was remodelled as the Vogue Theatre in 1939. Run by the Kerridge-Odeon chain, the cinema closed in 1954. Later occupants included Para Rubber, Don’t Tell Mama’s, The Staircase and The Case, before Studio the Venue took its current name in 2008. New management later refurbished and refitted the venue, which reopened after a relaunch.
The venue has a capacity of about 1,100. Its layout includes a ground-floor stage and bars, a first-floor bar and a second-floor VIP room, alongside hireable downstairs and backstage areas. An in-house L-Acoustics PA serves the space. CreamEventsNZ has run events there, and artists to play the venue include Metrik, PIRAPUS, Grafix and Murphy's Law. In 2016, Studio the Venue received the MMF Best Large Venue award.
