Suburbia

Suburbia is situated at 27–29 Onslow Road, Bevois Valley, Southampton, SO14 0JD. The building previously housed the Onslow pub, once Southampton’s main blues venue, and became Lennons nightclub around 1990. Lennons closed in 2016. Before the venue reopened in April 2017, Peter and Lorraine Loizou, a couple from the area, had purchased the premises. Suburbia underwent refurbishment in April 2024.

With capacity for about 250 people and a PA system, Suburbia operates as a nightclub and grassroots live-music venue. Its programme combines live performances and club nights, covering indie, rock, punk, techno and drum and bass. Weekly open-mic events are held alongside Heavy Jams, a monthly heavy-metal jam open to all genres. Codename: Amen and Hooked Sounds have run events at the venue. Artists who have performed there include Benny L, Alcemist, Deekline and Serial Killaz.
