Supamolly

Supamolly is a live-music venue, bar and cinema at Jessnerstraße 41 in Friedrichshain, Berlin. It opened in the early 1990s as a semi-legal space connected to a squat, emerging from the city’s squatter and subculture scene. The venue also serves as a meeting place for activists.

The building has an upstairs bar and a basement concert room, with capacity for about 250 people. Run by the Jessica Proll association, it arranges band bookings through a weekly meeting at the bar. Concerts span punk, ska, reggae and other styles; the programme has also included readings and benefit parties. Drum-and-bass and jungle events have taken place there, including a 2011 old-school party. Soniq is among the artists who have played Supamolly.
