Taba Record Store

Taba Record Store is a vinyl shop focused on electronic music at Tsar Asen 52 in Sofia Center, Sofia. It started online in February 2019, then opened its physical premises on Tsar Asen Street shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic began. Co-founder Vladimir Stamenov runs the shop with Martina Kazakova, selling new and second-hand records and taking vinyl from customers’ collections for resale.

The stock spans house, techno, electro and breakbeat, alongside world music, disco, funk and soul. In-store sessions bring DJs and record collectors into the shop. The premises received acoustic treatment and sound insulation to reduce reverberation and noise for nearby residents. Taba Record Store also promotes club nights at Sofia venues including DOM and Bobbina Cultural Space.
