Tank

Tank was a basement club at 52-55 Arundel Gate in Sheffield city centre. It opened in 2014 with local DJ Jamie Duggan, who ran the venue. Its capacity was about 400. In 2022, Tank announced it was closing, then refurbished its space and carried on operating. The club closed in August 2026, citing rising operating costs and other obstacles.

Tank’s programme ranged across Sheffield bassline, house, techno, garage, speed garage and drum & bass. Crucast and Hooked Sounds were among the promoters running events there. Artists who played at the club included Chase & Status, Shy FX, Hybrid Minds and Sammy Virji. Tank’s final party took place on 8 August 2026. The venue was near Sheffield Hallam University and also hosted other types of electronic music nights.
