The Assembly is a venue at 153 Madras St in Christchurch Central, Christchurch. It opened in November 2025 in the former Winnie Bagoes premises, on the corner of Madras and Allen Streets. Winnie Bagoes occupied the building from 2013 to 2019, after earthquakes destroyed its original premises. The Assembly retained the site’s industrial character and its “New Zealand’s Best Pizza” mural.
The venue holds up to 700 people, with sound and lighting for live performances and events. Artists who have played there include Metrik, Morty, Oktae and Venjent.
