The Baths is a 300-capacity live music venue at 4 Civic Drive in Ipswich, Suffolk. The building began as a swimming pool and later served as a social club and gym. Formerly St Matthew’s Baths Hall, it hosted live performances in the late 1960s and early 1970s, with boards laid across the pool. Led Zeppelin, Cream and Rod Stewart played there during that period, including Led Zeppelin in 1971. Live music returned in 2021, after the venue had last hosted it in the 1970s.
Brighten The Corners operates The Baths, which has a low-ceilinged performance space, a professional-grade sound system and a lighting rig. The venue is used for live music and club nights, alongside beer festivals, workshops and comedy shows. Artists to have played there include Fabio, Grooverider, Digital (UK) and AJ Tracey. In November 2024, Ipswich Borough Council granted the venue a permanent live entertainment licence; its capacity was recorded as 340 at the time.
